- In April, I gave a lecture at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences, "Human-machine mathematical collaboration with modern AI"..
- I gave the Colloquium Lectures at the Joint Mathematical Meetings in DC in January 2026. The lecture recordings are available here: lecture one, lecture two, lecture three. The notes are available here: lecture one, lecture two, lecture three.
- Susan Wei, Daniel Murfet and I organised a focus period, Mathematical Science of AI Safety, which ran at SMRI from November to December 2025.
- François Charton, Jan de Gier, Amaury Hayat, Julia Kempe and I organised a tandem Oberwolfach/MATRIX workshop on Machine Learning and AI for Mathematics in September 2025.
- Charlotte Chan, Thomas Lam and I organised a special semester on "Modern Perspectives in Representation Theory" in First Semester 2025.
- I was an invited speaker at Woodford Folk Festival 2024/25, participating in a panel and giving a talk, Can AI Think?
- I received the 2024 Max-Planck Humboldt Research Award. As part of this award, the University of Bonn will be advertising 3 postdoctoral positions to work with myself, Catharina Stoppel and other researchers in Bonn and Sydney. Please let smri.admin@sydney.edu.au know if you would like to be added to a mailing list for news about these positions.
- Mike Douglas, Fabian Ruehle, Mike Freedman and François Charton and I organised a special semester on Mathematics and Machine Learning at CMSA Harvard in Fall 2023. Please refer to the CMSA website for further information.
- In 2023 I was awarded an Australian Laureate Fellowship. As part of the fellowship, SMRI will be advertising several positions in 2024 and 2025. Please write to smri.admin@sydney.edu.au if you would like to be added to a mailing list to be informed about such positions, or keep an eye on mathjobs.
- In Semester 2 2023, Georg Gottwald, Harini Desiraju and myself organised a seminar series "Mathematical challenges in AI".
- In Semester 2 2023, Dragan Milicic and I taught a special semester on D-modules and their use in representation theory.
- In Semester 1 2023, Chris Hone and I taught a course on modular representation theory.
- I gave a Public Lecture as part of the International Congress of Mathematicians on 8 July 2022 for the London Mathematical Society. Seminar recording and quote attributions for the talk.
- I lectured at a summer school on recent perspectives in Hodge theory in Pisa in September 2022.
- I facilitated a course at the joint AMSI / MSRI winter school in June to July 2022. Watch the lectures on Kazhdan-Lusztig Polynomials: Representation, Geometry and Combinatorics.
- In Semester 1 2022, Georg Gottwald, Joel Gibson and myself organised a seminar on "Machine learning for the working mathematician".

- Daniel Juteau, Simon Riche, Wolfgang Soergel organised an Arbeitsgemeinschaft on Geometric Representation Theory at Oberwolfach in April 2022.
- Notes for the second part of my course on Langlands correspondence and Bezrukavnikov's equivalence. This course finished in July 2020, ending nowhere near where I thought it would
