MathQuEST Day in Perth

As a satellite event of AustMS 2026, MathQuEST Day Perth 2026 brings together leading
researchers in mathematics, quantum computing, cryptography, machine learning and
complex systems for a full day of talks, discussion and networking. Hosted by the ARC
Centre of Excellence in Mathematics for Quantum Era Security and Trust (MathQuEST), the
program explores some of the most exciting challenges at the intersection of mathematics
and emerging technologies.

The day features presentations from internationally recognised researchers including
Prof Nalini Joshi, Prof Jingbo Wang, Prof Craig Costello, Prof Kate Smith-Miles, Prof
Murray Elder, Prof Michael Small, Prof Youming Qiao and Dr Lindon Roberts, covering
topics ranging from quantum algorithms and post-quantum cryptography to machine
learning, dynamical systems and diversity in STEM. A hands-on quantum algorithms
tutorial will also be offered.
