Title: 3D Cells Motion Analysis for Investigating Apoptotic Cell Clearance in Germinal Centres Speaker: Dr Xufeng Lin (Garvan Institute) Abstract: This presentation explores the application of advanced 3D cell motion analysis techniques to investigate apoptotic cell clearance within germinal centers (GCs) of lymph nodes, a process potentially linked to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) pathogenesis. Employing cutting-edge 3D cell segmentation, tracking, and classification methods, we aim to gain unprecedented insights into the behaviors and interactions of cells within GCs, focusing on tingible body macrophages (TBMs) and apoptotic GC B cells. By visualizing and quantifying the dynamics of cell motion, we seek to elucidate the relationship between defective clearance and loss of B cell tolerance. This research aims to advance our understanding of SLE pathogenesis and showcase the effectiveness of 3D cell motion analysis in unraveling complex cellular processes in immune responses.
