  • Scanned Notes:There are no printed notes for this subject.

    The handwritten lecture notes will be posted online on the same day, after the lecture.

  • Practical Sessions:Some lectures (usually Thursday's Lectures) will be used as Practical Problem Solving Sessions ("Pracs"). The aim of the Pracs is to go through Selected problems in the lecture, to help you prepare for Tutorials, Quizzes, Assignments and the final Exam.

    Some of the problems from Pracs not solved during Semester, will be solved during revision in Week 13.

  • Tutorials: (Start in WEEK 1) Tutorial questions are available online via the links in the Table below. Solutions will be posted at the end of the week.
  • Assignments: Assignments must be submitted electronically through Turnitin via the Learning Management System (Blackboard), as PDF files only.

    Always check your submission receipt to ensure the assignment has been submitted correctly.

    Please ensure you keep your original hard copy of the assignment.

Mid-Term Quiz

  • The Mid-Term Quiz will be held on Wednesday 20 September at 8am (Week 8).

  • A Sample Quiz with answers is available Here and on the table below. Note that full worked solutions are not available.

  • The actual quiz will be multiple choice, of 40 minutes duration and will contain: Laplace Transform Table, BVP-Fourier Summary and a table of selected Trigonometric Identities.

  • The Quiz will cover the Lecture material from Week 1 to Week 6, included.

  • The class will be split into two groups: one half in the usual lecture room 157 and the other half in the adjacent room 159.
