Computational Algebra Seminar: Kasprzyk -- Classifying toric log Del Pezzo surfaces

Speaker: Alexander Kasprzyk (Kent)
Title: Classifying toric log Del Pezzo surfaces with the aid of a computer
Time & Place: 3-4pm, Thursday 19 Feb, Carslaw 535

Abstract:
In a recent work with Max Kreuzer and Benjamin Nill, techniques for
classifying all toric log Del Pezzo surfaces up to some arbitrary index
were described. Continuing the recent theme of toric talks, I will outline
the methods involved and explain why polytopes are so important in toric
classifications.
