Speaker: Donald Barnes (University of Sydney)

Date: Friday 4th March

Time: 12.05-12.55pm

Venue: Carslaw 175

Title: Leibniz algebras

Abstract: Leibniz algebras are a generalisation of Lie algebras. Many results for Lie
algebras generalise to Leibniz algebras, but there are some interesting differences. My
talk will be mostly about soluble Leibniz algebras. It will assume a little basic
knowledge of Lie algebras.
